SUPER EARLY NEWBORN SESSION!

What happens if our baby arrives super early or late? Will we be able to have an early newborn session? This is one of the most common questions I get as a newborn photographer. Newborn portraits are supposed to be done 6-10 days after baby is born, so we work with a tight schedule. So it’s understandable that parents are concerned about their photographer’s availability. But I can confidently say that has NEVER been an issue. I specifically only book a select number of families each month so that I can be sure I have plenty of availability no matter when you need me. I’m around at the drop of a hat! Which is good, because this little guy came SUPER EARLY!

In fact, he arrived so early that he was delivered out of state while Mom, Dad, and big sis were on vacation!

Even with his early arrival though, he was healthy and happy. And he was a champ at having his picture taken. This Woodbridge family was just so easy and wonderful to work with. And can we talk about big sis for a moment? She was clearly deeply in love with her new baby brother, and a pro at smiling for the camera.

When they came to me for their pre-consultation we spoke about their home decor. Mom likes to decorate her home with greys and soft neutrals. After determining that, we made sure to use a palette that would flow with their home decor.

This family was super excited to create some wall art with not only their newborn images from this session but also their newborn images from when their daughter was born. So we sat down together and examined their previous newborn portraits, and worked on creating images that would match the colors, tone, and lighting used in their prior session. This allowed us to create a cohesive gallery that would look seamless on their wall, and help preserve the memories from their baby’s first special moments. I think we nailed it!

Here’s a quick mockup of a living room with the wall gallery we put together! It’s going to look amazing on their wall!
