The Joyful Journey of Maternity to Newborn Photography – Your Memories, My Canvas

Hey there, soon-to-be-moms (or the oh-so-very-tired-already-moms-who-are-on-baby-#2-#3-or-#4)!

As you're gearing up for the grand entrance of your little one, I know you're swamped with decisions about cribs, the perfect shade for the nursery, but I hope you are also thinking about how to make sure that you capture those fleeting newborn moments. They go by fast, and before we know it those squishy little babies are running out the door to soccer practice, getting braces, or starting the search for college.

Capturing the Slumber and Smiles

Let's face it, newborns are unpredictable. They sleep, yawn, and yes, they cry – all on their own sweet schedule. If you're fretting about your baby being wide-eyed when they should be dreaming for those dreamy shots, you’re not the first parent to worry, but I’ve got you covered. I have every trick in the book for helping to make sure your newborn sleeps, from making sure that we have your session at the optimal time to ensure a sleepy baby (6-10 days after they are born), to special rocking techniques and shushing machine to help them fall asleep. My tool box for getting your baby to sleep is endless. I've mastered the art of the 'baby whisperer', and can proudly say I’ve never had a baby I couldn’t get to sleep. I'll have them snoozing in no time.

Sibling Shenanigans Managed

One of the other big concerns for newborn and maternity sessions are the soon-to-be big brother or sister. I've got tricks up my sleeve to engage and entertain even the most energetic toddlers. I always have bubbles, stuffed animals, and kid-approved music and snacks on hand to ensure that even timid toddlers are content. We'll turn their "cheese" into genuine giggles and capture the kind of spontaneous, heart-melting moments you'll cherish.

Preserving Newborn Memories

Now, let's talk about turning memories into art. These aren't just photos; they're the pages of your family’s story. I'll help you create and preserve these first precious moments of your baby's life, with beautiful, tangible prints that will stand the test of time – and toddler hands!
I use a special glare resistant acrylic fronts on all framed wall art that provides UV protection to make ensure your wall art won’t fade, and to make sure that if a stray baseball goes flying, you’ll never have to deal with shattered glass.
